Lock It Down: A Better Way to Build with Logs

If you’ve ever tried cutting tenons, tapering, or peeling bark off a log that just won’t sit still - you know how frustrating that can be. It’s hard to get clean, accurate cuts when your material moves around. That’s exactly why we created the Log Lock™ lineup: a simple, super solid way to hold your logs steady so you can work with more confidence and control.

Whether you're crafting chairs, benches, beds, or any kind of rustic log furniture, a secure log makes all the difference. No more wrestling with clamps, guessing with straps, or hoping gravity does the job.

🧰 Meet the Log Lock Family

We've got four versions to cover every kind of log furniture builder - from the occasional weekend woodworker to the full-time pro in a high-output shop.

🪵 Log Lock
Holds logs 1-1/2" to 4-1/2"
Ideal for most furniture-building tasks
Fast setup, solid grip, easy to store

🪵 Log Lock XL
Holds logs 2-1/2" to 8"
Great for larger projects and thicker stock
Still simple and quick to use

🪵 Log Lock Heavy Duty
Same 1-1/2" to 4-1/2" range - built tougher
Uses ½”-10 ACME threads for max durability
Made for shops where tools work hard

🪵 Log Lock XL Heavy Duty
Holds 2-1/2" to 8" logs with upgraded strength
ACME threads + heavy-duty frame = long life
Great for commercial or production setups

🔩 What Makes the Heavy Duty Versions Special?

It's all in the threading:

  • Standard models use ½” - 13 UNF threading (fine thread) - great for 80% of builders
  • Heavy Duty models use ½” - 10 ACME threading - stronger, smoother, more durable
  • ACME threads are wider and shaped like a trapezoid, which helps resist stripping and wear under pressure
  • Built to last - and faster to use - Having the wider ACME threads also means you don't have to spin the handle as many times to lock in your log. It tightens quicker and with less effort - super handy when you’re cutting a bunch of tenons and flipping logs all day. In a world where everyone’s short on time, a faster workflow just makes sense.

Whether you're cranking down hard on a heavy log or adjusting dozens of times a day, the Heavy Duty models are built to keep up.
